A great entry of 59 players, bolstered by a sizeable contingent from Dumfries, took part in today’s competition in great conditions.
For a long time it looked like a fine scratch 70 by early starter, Ross Callan from Bathgate, would be good enough to take the trophy, but home player Craig Tibbetts overhauled Ross with an excellent 69 to become this year’s winner.
There were excellent scores in all 3 age categories and encouragingly from a field of 59 there were only 3 No Returns. Well done to everyone who played.
Competition Standard Scratch for all players was 68.
