There was a great turnout for tonight’s presentation to our young golfers who have successfully completed the Summer coaching programme, which is all part of the Club’s Junior Foundation.
Along with a number of members, Club Captain and PGA Head Professional, Gordon Law, has developed and overseen the activities which cover all facets of the game, serving as a real stepping stone into golf.
This year has seen a number of the youngsters attain handicaps and play competitions for the first time – a real milestone in the life of any golfer.
Gordon said “It’s been tremendous to see the enthusiasm of the kids at our sessions and how much fun they have, even when I’m giving out their homework! We’re also delighted to see how many girls are taking part, which is an aspect the Club sees as having great potential.
I am very grateful for all of the support from the members who give up their time to help with the programme – it wouldn’t be possible to run things without them”.
