Uphall Junior Squad pairings of Scott McKinnon / Euan Valentine and Owen Abu-Baker / Connor Currie lifted the Century Cup at Linlithgow yesterday, beating the host club in extra holes in a very hard fought match.
Conditions were terrible with heavy rain throughout.
A hard fought game resulted in an all square aggregate after 18 holes, but Uphall squeezed through when both our pairings won the first extra hole.
Well done to all players from both Clubs, with special thanks to our supporters including PGA Professional, Gordon Law and past captains, Tom Flannigan and Joe McManus for braving the elements.
Hopefully, the squad will gain even more confidence from this year’s results – there’s lots of potential and opportunities to develop through our Junior initiatives.
