Uphall Ladies held another successful Ladies ‘Pink’ Greensomes on Sunday to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.
The weather was dry but windy for most of the day, but unfortunately there was some very heavy rain in the late afternoon.
Eighty-six Ladies played in the event and Hazel Grant and Janet Thornton of Turnhouse took the first prize, each winning a waterproof golf bag, kindly donated by Uphall Head Professional, Gordon Law.
The Ladies of Uphall Golf Club played a huge part in making the event a success, by donating prizes and raffle items, organising donations of other prizes, helping on the day and in the run-up to the event. Three of the Uphall Gents also gave a huge amount of help on the day – ‘on the desk’ and as Starter – so a huge Thank You to them.
We have raised about £1500 for Breast Cancer now, although fundraising is not quite finished, so this total should increase.
